Vacuum Infusion
We place great emphasis on precision and does not compromise on the accuracy of individual components, including its hulls.
.
One process our Yachts have relied on since building its first hull is vacuum infusion.
.
The basic principle of the vacuum infusion process is to fill the mold with the dry fibres and core materials, and then infuse the resin into the mold using a vacuum.
.
The vacuum also pulls all the small air bubbles out of the laminate and, due to the air pressure difference between the laminate and the environment, causes the laminate to cure under pressure.
.
This has three main advantages:
-Fewer emissions are released because it is a closed process.
-The amount of resin in a component decreases, making it stronger and lighter at the same time.
-The dimensional accuracy of the components is higher.
